Codename_Blank

On building infrastructure for the AI inference economy

What is Codename_Blank?

Inside TwistLabs sits a lab whose job is narrow and specific: to build the substrate beneath AI inference. Not the models. Not the applications. The layer underneath — where the question of whether a model needs to be invoked at all gets decided.

That lab is Codename_Blank.

The name is the thesis. A codename is a placeholder that stands in for something that doesn't yet have its public name. Blank is what happens before content arrives. Together, the two words describe the layer the lab works on: an intentionally neutral substrate that holds the space where reasoning is captured, governed, and reused.

Most AI systems Inference everything. They treat every query as new, every reasoning pass as disposable, every answer as something to compute and forget. Codename_Blank's working hypothesis is that this is an architectural choice rather than a property of intelligence — and that the architecture can be flipped.

The observation that started it.

In spring 2025, while watching how enterprises actually used their AI infrastructure, a pattern emerged that didn't fit the standard story. The systems weren't computing new things most of the time. They were re-computing old things. Different sessions, different users, different timestamps — same questions, same reasoning paths, same answers, generated from scratch each time.

On the order of three-quarters of inference being run, in a typical enterprise environment, was redundant.

That observation, sat with for a while, became a thesis. Reasoning is not a disposable byproduct of compute. It is an asset. And like any asset, it should be captured, governed, attributed, and reused — not regenerated every time someone asks a similar question.

The patents started in summer 2025. By spring 2026, the lab had filed thirty provisional applications across a five-pillar architecture, named the operating system that ties them together MythOS, and given the lab itself a name that performs the work it does.

If you are going to build a placeholder beneath the AI economy, the name should say so. Codename_Blank is what we are. MythOS is what we ship.

MythOS — what we built

The lab's product is MythOS — five infrastructure pillars that compose into an operating system for AI inference. Each pillar stands alone. Together they make reasoning behave like capital instead of consumption.

Where we are now.

As of May 2026, Codename_Blank is in active patent prosecution and operational build-out. Thirty provisional applications filed at USPTO across the five pillars. More than three hundred independent claims in prosecution. A first non-provisional and PCT international filing in the May 2026 window. The MythOS trademark is filed. The lab is in pre-seed engagement with infrastructure-focused investors and pilot conversations are underway.

The lab is early — the earliest possible point of public introduction. That timing is deliberate. Infrastructure-grade ideas need long runways, and the longest runway begins before anyone is asking for the destination.

An invitation.

This page is the door. The lab itself lives at codenameblank.ai, where the technical material, the patent thesis, the product vocabulary, and the implementation roadmap are kept in their own register.

If the working agreement that intelligence and stewardship are the same project at different time horizons resonates — and the corollary that intelligence becomes stewardship when it stops being thrown away — then there is more to read.

We invite you to follow the thread.
